KIDS AND CHARTER FISHING
Captain Jon here! I wanted to take a minute to share how much fun it has been hosting entire families on our open water MFM Sport Fishing charter. Lately, we have hosted several families with kids, some as young as 8 years old. It is an adrenalin driven happiness when an adult makes a big catch but pure joy to witness a child reel in a fish that is almost as long as they are.
MFM’S CHARTER EQUIPMENT
MFM’s charter fishing equipment is continuously upgraded to ensure that our guests, including little ones, can enjoy reeling in the big catch. Having the right equipment is a game changer! These goliath fish alone put up a serious fight so a quality rod and reel is paramount. We use Okuma Convector reels which are light weight, quick set, have a multi-disc carbonite drag system and are extremely durable. As for our rods, we use Shimano Tolara trolling rods. Shimano Tolara rods are extremely versatile and compatible with downrigger, dipsy diver, planer board, wireline and leadcore fishing. So we have found that Okuno Convector reels and Shimano Tolara rods used in combination yields efficient results and productive fishing.
SAFETY AND CHARTER FISHING
